Devara (Hindi) 100 Cr Breakeven: Can NTR Do It?

While Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 has clinched a record deal of 200 crores for its distribution rights in the North, NTR’s Devara’s distribution rights in North India have been acquired by AA Films and Karan Johar on an advance basis for 50 crores.

It’s a win-win situation for both parties, striking a fair and reasonable deal.

Devara is a standalone film unlike Pushpa 2 which is a sequel. This is NTR’s first pan-India film outside the SS Rajamouli universe. Koratala Siva’s last film Acharya was a disaster. So 50 crores is quite a good deal for Devara.

The breakeven target for Devara would be around 100 crores net in the Hindi version which is quite achievable if the content clicks with the North Indian audience.

Anything above 80 crores would be deemed a success and the film would be declared a superhit at 120 crores net in Hindi.

So the film has to do business similar to Pushpa Part 1 (108 crores) and Adipurush (115 crores) to become a HIT film in Hindi.

If the film can get an opening of 8-10 crores and with good word of mouth, 100 crores would be quite achievable.

If Devara 1 clicks in a big way in Hindi then it is sure that Devara 2 would get huge offers from the North distributors.
