Devara’s Biggest Challenge In B and C Centers?

NTR’s Devara is set for release on the 27th of this month and the makers dropped the trailer for the film earlier. Going by the trailer, the film has a substantial number of scenes with low lighting patterns.

The shark fight, boat sequences and other crucial episodes appear to be in a dark setting.

However, the issue with such dark toned scenes is that getting the right kind of projection is very tough.

While things might be alright in multiplexes and A centers, it could get really tricky in the B and C centers that don’t necessarily have quality projection systems.

In certain B and C centers in the rural pockets of Andhra and Telangana, the projection systems are not fully capable of projecting dark images to the fullest extent.

This was observed in the case of Salaar earlier as the dark imagery left the viewers confused. A similar case could happen with Devara now.

The projection systems in the mass pockets have low lumen projection systems which don’t deliver the right kind of crisp imagery that is needed for such dark toned scenes to have the right impact.

With NTR’s main strength itself being the mass pockets, Koratala appears to have taken a risk of sorts with these dark patterns. Even the much hyped shark fight sequence appears to be in low light which is again another challenge.

This is where the right balance during Digital Imaging is of paramount significance.
