It’s A Big Clash, But Tollywood Is Missing!

Back in the day, there was this musical competition between Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman, which used to deliver exceptional soundtracks for the Telugu audience. This was a creative clash that gave a fighting spirit between the two of them to outdo each other which gave great songs to the audience.

But this is a thing in the past, now there is no such creative process or phenomenon in Telugu these days.

In Tamil, we have the clash between youngsters, Anirudh Ravichander, and Sai Abhyankar which is doing the job for them. They are competing with each other to deliver elite grade soundtracks and the audience are on the positive end of the same.

The kind of adrenaline pumping music that Sai delivered for Karuppu is beyond his age. There might be in consistency in background score in the first half of the film, but when it comes to enticing energy with mass score, he nailed it.

While all focus is on Sai for this adrenaline boost stuff, Anirudh came up with a sensationally good classical score himself for DC which features Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi. The Raga of Revenge is a mighty well composed score by itself.

There is a constant pressure between Anirudh and Sai, which is emerging at a point where both of them have to deliver winning scores to stay in the race. This is the kind of creative push that would deliver sensational stuff. But sadly, Tollywood is missing out on the same as we do not have composers who are not quite on the same degree.
