Dhanush’s Indirect Statement on Possible OTT Release

Yesterday, Vijay Ilayapathy’s ‘Master‘ team made it very clear that they are looking forward for a theatrical release though they had a good offer from a leading OTT platform. Junior superstar of Kollywood, Dhanush replied to the ‘Master’ press note with an, ‘Yes’.

That means he indirectly said that his upcoming movie ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ in Tamil aka ‘Jagame Tantram’ in Telugu is not going for an OTT release directly but would wait for a theatrical release like ‘Master’.

‘Jagame Thandhiram’ was in the news as a possible OTT direct release but the makers of the movie including director Karthik Subbaraj denied it as they want to wait for releasing their movie in theatres. Dhanush’s indirect gesture to ‘Master’ press release confirms his stand on this matter.

Not many big movies are looking towards OTT direct releases as there is a kind of optimism that once the theatres open up with big releases, audiences would definitely like to throng to theatrical experience that they had been missing since long.
