Did Akhil Reject This Biggie For Agent?

The surprise of the day is the first look launch of actor Karthi’s next. It came out of the blue and took everyone by surprise. It is a spy thriller and is titled Sardar. PS Mithran of Abhimanyudu fame directs the movie. It is the director and the genre that makes one think of Akhil here.

To those who might have forgotten, here is a reminder. After Mr Majnu, there was a widespread buzz in the industry that Akhil is joining hands with PS Mithran. Not only that, it was speculated to be an action thriller. However, the ‘spy’ angle was missing.

Recently, Akhil has signed a spy thriller with Surender Reddy. The first look poster with the title Agent is also out. Given the similarities of the genre here – Sardar is also a spy thriller; one can’t help but feel if Akhil had rejected this subject in the past.

The motion poster of Sardar is out, and it looks intriguing. The background score is also neat. Director PS Mithran has made two films, and both were high on content. One can make a guess here it could be the same with Sardar as well. In that case, it will be interesting to see how Agent turns out.
