Did Nagarjuna Damage His Own Movie?

In a few hours from now, DevaDas starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Nani will hit the screens. It is an exciting first-time coming together of stars from two generations who are in form and that too from a prestigious banner. Still, the buzz is low and is Nagarjuna responsible for that?

Usually, a day before the actual release, any big movie with decent hype picks up considerably. However, DevaDas has not been able to show that jump, even though the bookings are decent. Did the pre-release interview with media where Nag expressed doubts over the product kill the little pre-release buzz that movie had (Check Here)? This is the talk among the distribution circles.

The damage was big, apparently, and that is the reason why Nagarjuna had to tweet a positive report on DevaDas, is the current buzzing topic in the industry. Nagarjuna, being frank is not new, but he should have shown some restraint and told the same after release, as post-mortem is what everyone feels.
