“I was vexed with doing standard commercial films and wanted to try something different. This is when Charan came to me one day and spoke about Lucifer and the idea of me remaking it in Telugu. I was immediately excited and once Mohan Raja came onboard there was no looking back” Chiru said.
Adding further, Chiru said “When I watched Lucifer, I felt it lacked something. The ending was a tad abrupt. I wasn’t too impressed with the overall experience. But the writer of GodFather, Laxmi Bhupal and Mohan Raja combined and came up with a well-rounded script. I feel this film is a complete entertainer,” Chiru said.
Even the director, Mohan Raja added that he made a handful of noticeable changes to Lucifer’s script and he seemed confident that this film will indeed match the original.
Lucifer is a Malayalam box office monster. Chiru is badly in need of a similar result at the box office after the disastrous show of Acharya. Will GodFather do the job for him?
