Dil Raju Pushing Another Biggie For Direct OTT Release

Dil Raju and Allu Aravind are foraying into Bollywood with the official remake of Jersey. The movie starring Shahid Kapoor was initially planned for a December 31st release. But Omicron forced Night curfews and theaters shut down in some areas forced a postponement.

Buzz is that Dil Raju is pushing for a Direct-to-OTT release of the film and also initiated talks with Netflix. He reportedly got a fancy offer as well. But Shahid Kapoor is not interested to do it. Jersey happens to be the immediate next film of Shahid Kapoor after a blockbuster like Kabir Singh.

He feels Jersey is a perfect follow-up for Kabir Singh to establish himself as a star in Bollywood. So, he is strictly batting for a theatrical release. With no clarity of when things will become normal, Dil Raju is not keen on waiting any longer and thereby losing money. The movie is already delayed for a long time.
