Director’s Over Favoritism for Actress

Donno how far it was true but a report in the English tabloid, the Deccan Chronicle stated that all was not well between the producers and the director of upcoming Telugu movie ‘Valmiki’, the official remake of Tamil hit ‘Jigarthanda’.

Director Harish Shankar was said to have spent over the estimated budget for the movie and one of the reasons for the escalation of the budget was the high remuneration for the lead actress Pooja Hegde.

Pooja Hegde is said to be having limited screen space and has allotted only 20 days for the shooting. Despite her short role, the director paid her huge salary. The director’s alleged favoritism towards the actress was a much talked about thing in the past also when she worked for ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ with Allu Arjun.

All seems not to be well between the director and the producers, according to the above-mentioned report but the hero, Varun Tej is totally detached with this alleged issue and it’s only his work that he is presently concentrating upon.
