The younger Deverakonda, Anand sat down for an exclusive interview with M9.news as he is promoting his upcoming film, Baby now. Here’s what he had to say in our interaction.
“Baby is close to my heart. I think it’s my best work till date and I’m pretty pumped about it. We will give everyone a satisfying watch on the big screens” Anand said.
When asked about his brother, Vijay, Anand said “Vijay has this star charisma that I believe has connected with everyone. I can proudly say he is ‘The’ Vijay Deverakonda. I like the sound of it. I don’t care what others say or think, I can defend ‘The’ prefix.”
Anand adds that other heroes have tried to recreate Vijay’s on screen persona but they’ve all failed.
“Yeah, Liger was a painful experience for us. I was taken aback by the film. I saw it just two days before the release. Had I watched it 2-3 months beforehand, I would’ve given my inputs to Vijay and maybe that could’ve helped. It took us time to come out of the debacle”
Baby is up for release on the 14th of July and it is billed to be a love drama. The film is directed by Sai Rajesh who penned the story for Color Photo.
