Don’t Sleep Teaser
Cinematographer Shamdat is making his Telugu directorial debut with the psychological thriller Don’t Sleep, starring Indhra Raam in the lead. Produced by V Chudamani under the V Dream Films banner, the film has drawn attention with a teaser unveiled by Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Sethupathi and Dulquer Salmaan.
Don’t Sleep revolves around an unexpected disruption in an ordinary man’s life. Having settled into a happy marriage, the protagonist appears to have found peace until one of his dreams begins to materialise in real life. His circumstances soon take a troubling turn as a mysterious individual begins pursuing him, seemingly intent on ending his life. The man is forced to confront a growing threat in which sleep itself becomes a source of fear.
The teaser places considerable emphasis on visual storytelling, reflecting Shamdat’s experience as a cinematographer. His frames establish an unsettling atmosphere. Gokul Harshan’s background music complements the visuals, maintaining a sense of urgency and tension as the teaser progresses.
Indhra Raam portrays the character’s vulnerability, while Ravindra Vijay plays the antagonist. Taba Reema, Jyotee Banarjee, Sunil Thapa and Aadukalam Naren also play significant roles.
By combining an unusual concept with visual storytelling and a suspense-oriented presentation, Don’t Sleep aims to offer a different approach within the psychological thriller genre. The teaser introduces the film’s central mystery without revealing too much, leaving several questions unanswered.
