Doubtful for Telugu, But This Film Goes to Bollywood

A lot has been talked about and written about the Telugu Remake of Malayalam Superhit, Ayyappanum Koshiyum in recent times. There are reports that Balayya will reprise the role of Biju Menon while Rana will be seen in the role of Prithviraj.

But there are apprehensions that if the movie will work in Telugu as the story has Malayalam flavor all over it. Now, an interesting update is that the movie is going to Bollywood as well. Bollywood Hero John Abraham has bought the Hindi Remake Rights of the film and will be remaking it on his JA Entertainment Banner.

It is very difficult to adapt to the film in Hindi nativity. Probably, the movie has to be set in some Hindi heartland. Even then, this is going to be a risky subject for the Hindi audience. Ayyappanum Koshiyum script may need a complete overhaul. Moreover, the conflict point of Ayyappanum Koshiyum is not so serious.

It should work only on the strength of the actors and their characterizations. So, a lot will depend on who will handle the script, the cast, and the changes that are to be made. John Abraham may appear in one of the lead roles. One can not be sure if that is a good choice.
