
As many as 17 films are releasing this September. The list includes comparatively prominent titles like Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga (2 Sep), First Day First Show(2 Sep), Bramhastra (9 Sep), Saakini Daakini(16 Sep), Ravanasura (30 Sep tentative), and Ponniyin Selvan (30 Sep).
While there’re as many as 17 new theatrical releases lined up for next month, there’s not a lot going into them.
There isn’t a single film in the line up that has garnered a “must-watch” tag from the Telugu audience.
Bramhastra is the costliest film on the list and it has Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna in the lead roles. Rajamouli is presenting it. It remains to be seen what the box office prospects of this film will be in the Telugu states.
Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga promises to be a youthful entertainer and it might pull the youth if the talk is right. Ponniyin Selvan is getting a pan India release and it has grandeur to show for. But there’s not a lot of hype on this film in Telugu.
All in all, the word of mouth will be the decisive factor for all these September releases.
