e-laugh: Ha-ha beats LOL on Facebook

The Facebook team recently analysed people’s typing habits regarding emotional expressions. This brought to lights the fact that most Facebook users express their happiness with the words “ha ha”, followed by emojis and the least number of people used “LOL or laughing out loud.” The actual percentages are 51.4 for the ha-ha, 33.7 for the emoji and finally 1.9 for the LOL.

Additionally the Facebook also studied whether people actually laughed when they e-laughed and if so, then how many times. The results show that the laughter type and length on the social networking site depended on various key facters such age, gender and geographic location. This is clear from the results as young women preferred emojis while men went for longer hehes.
