Sandeep Reddy Vanga first shook Telugu cinema with Arjun Reddy and then remade the film in Hindi as Kabir Singh, which was again a blockbuster. Now, he is coming with Animal.
Sandeep vows to deliver an intense crime drama with Animal, which has Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
The latest update is that Animal has locked an unusually lengthy runtime of 3 hours 21 minutes. The same was confirmed by Sandeep a short while ago. This is a clear indication that Sandeep has an intense and focus-demanding saga with Animal.
Not many superstar films have 201 minutes runtime and it is happening with Animal now, which in itself is a risk. Keeping the audience invested for 3 hours 21 minutes is a really tough ask for any filmmaker, and more so in this case, given that Sandeep is just one film old (Kabir Singh is a remake of same story – Arjun Reddy).
If Sandeep can overhaul this challenge and deliver a blockbuster even with such a hefty runtime film, then he will directly catapult to the elite league of Indian filmmakers and there is no stopping him. It means whatever he touches will turn into gold. Else, if it backfires, there is a chance he might get bogged down as a one-time wonder.
This essentially means Sandeep can either enter top league with Animal or he can hit the rock bottom by being termed as a one-time wonder.
