Election King contesting 38th time for Rajini

Manmathan is a 65-year old person from rajapalayam of Tamil Nadu. People of Rajaplayam call him ‘The Election King’ in a loving way because he has been contesting in elections since 1981. Did he win any election?

Nay. His main aim to make superstar Rajinikanth enter politics and play an active part in political scene. To get the support of the people on Rajnikanth’s political entry, Manmathan chose this route to contest in elections. He lost deposits many times. The money he spent on elections is his hard-earned money says Manmathan.

Since 1989 he has been contesting elections and this is time it’s going to be 38th time for Rajni. He didn’t confine himself to one place. He contested from different constituencies each time and mostly it was against the CM Jayalalitha. Now he is against Vijaykanth for commenting against Rajini.
