‘Even I Rejected Baahubali’

‘Baahubali 2’ has turned out be a major success and the character of Rajamatha Sivagami has been praised a lot. The actress who portrayed the strong character Ramya Krishna earned critical acclaim with her brilliant portrayal of Sivagami, a role which many well-known actresses including Sridevi, Sushmita Sen, and Lakshmi Mandu turned down.

But in a candid chat recently, Ramya revealed that she too was one of those actresses who initially refused the role. While the actress accepts that it is ‘Baahubali’ that has brought her fame and recognition, she admitted that she originally turned down the super hit film on account of having other commitments and being busy.

However, the producer of film Shobu called her for the script reading where she “was literally floored and didn’t want to let go the opportunity.” Ramya easily agreed to do the role and the rest is history.
