Except Amazon, Everyone Using RRR OTT Power

No Indian film has ever witnessed as much global OTT acclaim as RRR did. The film is a mega OTT blockbuster and Netflix yielded rich dividends as the Rajamouli directorial got a super wide reach in the west. RRR is also streaming on ZEE5.

The latest news is that RRR is also streaming on Disney+ Hotstar now. This is one of the very first times that an Indian film is streaming in three top OTT platforms.

Interestingly enough, Amazon Prime Video which is one of the mainstream OTT giants in the Indian OTT space has missed out on RRR. The OTT platform is usually very aggressive when it comes to buying big ticket films. But they’ve lost out on a mega OTT blockbuster like RRR.

As it stands, except for Amazon Prime, everyone is using RRR’s OTT power. Netflix, ZEE5, and Disney+ Hotstar are milking the film’s hype.

Amazon Prime Video should really be scratching their heads on how they could miss out on RRR, a film that trended in top 10 positions in as many 60 countries.
