Extra care taken for Ram Charan’s dubbing

Chiranjeevi family seems to have taken extra care for the dubbing for Ramcharan Teja in Zanjeer. Generally actor cum dubbing artist Rajesh Khattar lends his voice for new actors in Bollywood. But his voice is familiar and audience may easily identify it. That is why mega advisers and director Apoorva Lakhia have chosen ‘unknown’ dubbing artist so that no one would identify the voice.

Sources say though Charan’s Hindi is good, his southern accent is heavy which did not suit despite attending several rounds of dubbing test. Finally, a new person roped in for dubbing that is key for debut of Charan. Accent is key for success in Hindi movies as far as Tollywood actors are concerned. Sridevi, Jayaprada and a few artists have happily settled in Hindi movies in 1980s by improving their Hindi. But exceptions will be more for heroes. Chiranjeevi who entered Bollywood with Pratibandh did not continue due to several constrains such as dubbing and style of functioning in Bollywood.
