On Wednesday, the internet buzzed with news about director Prashanth Neel’s upcoming movie with Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar. Despite being an old, unverified rumor, it drew widespread attention after a report claimed Ajith would join the KGF universe, appearing alongside Kannada superstar Yash.
The idea of Ajith and Yash sharing the screen in a movie directed by Prashanth Neel sounds amazing, sparking imaginations of breaking Indian box office records globally. However, this seems more like the hopeful thinking of fans eager for a big cross-industry collaboration.
The report even suggested Prashanth would delay his anticipated project with NTR to start the film with Ajith. But this appears to lack truth. Journalists contacted the director’s team for clarification, revealing that a collaboration between Prashanth and Ajith is not in the works.
Industry reports state that NTR and Neel, initially set for an August 2024 start, might now begin by the end of the year after the release of Devara.
Some media sources are trying to suggest that Prashanth Neel is sidelining NTR’s project for others. There were also claims that Salaar 2 would be shot before the NTR movie. But the truth is Prashanth Neel is fully focused on NTR’s project.
There is a lot of fake news about Prashanth Neel’s projects, but clarity will come soon. It’s unlikely Neel will complete his current commitments and related sequels before 2030 before teaming up with other stars for new projects.
