Going into the story, Nag’s recent film, The Ghost couldn’t even make Rs 5 crores at the box office. The film has now premiered on OTT and it is streaming on Netflix.
Nag shared a tweet, saying The Ghost is trending in top position on Netflix India. “And #TheGhost is trending at the number 1 spot on @NetlfixIndia” the tweet from Nag read.
In response, fans have been expressing their displeasure. “Enough of you(Nag) doing these scrap films that disappoint to no end. Do you realize that the film has collected less than 5 Cr at box office? How can a senior star like you accept it and now share on social media that it is successful on OTT? We expect more competitive spirit from you sir” a Nag fan commented on Twitter.
Another fan commented that it is time for Nag to focus on the theatrical market rather than celebrating OTT success of Ghost and Wild Dog.
Maybe it is time Nag learns from the response for his #1 tweet on The Ghost and act in the interests of fans and makes films that pull the audience to the theaters.
