While several things in BRO did not go as planned, one particular aspect is being questioned by movie fans regarding re-using old stuff in a latest film.
BRO is filled with Pawan Kalyan’s old movie popular hit songs. Though they are brief, there are several of them in both halves of the film.
Initially, this idea worked decently, but later on, the overuse of these old song bits sidetracked the core story. This resulted in zero emotions by the time the movie reaches its climax, but this script heavily relies on emotions needed for the movie to work.
Those who watched the movie are asking a very valid question to the team: When there is a re-release trend happening to bring nostalgia for fans (even Kushi recently had a re-release recently), what is the point of again inserting too many old songs in a recent film at the cost of the story?
This is a valid question for any director who attempts to use old hit songs or scenes as gimmicks instead of bringing the real essence from the subject and hero characterization; it will fall flat on the director’s face, and “BRO” is a live example of this scenario.
