Farmers Suicides now spread to Hyd!

Farmers suicides which are rampant in the districts of Telangana until now have spread to Capital, Hyderabad too. 40 years old Limbaiah hails from Rathnala Ram Reddy palle of Nizamabad district. Limbaiah is bogged down by severe debts, crop losses and his son’s ill health.

Dejected Limbaiah could not afford his son’s treatment, he came to Katta Maisamma temple at Lower Tank Bund in Hyderabad and hanged himself to a transformer nearby. Police recovered the body and shifted it to Gandhi hospital for post mortem.

Telangana tops the country in farmers suicides. According to government figures, at least one farmer committed suicide every day after the new state is formed. The real figures will be even concerning.
