Father’s Comment Hurt Samantha the Most

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is proving her mettle in the pan-Indian entertainment industry. With Citadel: Honey Bunny buzzing high on OTT, she is getting all the more fan following.

Yet it would be difficult to believe that the stunning and confident actress once felt that she was not good enough. And it’s all the more unfortunate that it was her father who made her feel like that.

She opened up in an interview and revealed that she shares a strained relationship with her father. A lot of it has to do with his constant demotivation and disbelief in her.

She revealed that he would discredit her good grades in school by saying that the bad education system is the reason for the same. All the negativity affected her so much that when she received praise for one of her initial films Ye Maaya Chesave, she found it hard to accept it.

It was even revealed that her father refused to pay her bills and fees which discouraged her to pursue further education. That’s one of the reasons why she ended up in the film business.
