Female Director in Court for Divorce

With mutual understanding, Soundarya Rajinikanth and her estranged husband Ashwin Ramkumar had filed for a divorce, last year. When the divorce case came for hearing before the court, the duo appeared before the Chennai Court for further proceedings of their divorce.

The case is yet to be settled and modalities for settlement regarding alimony among other things are being worked out for a smooth divorce. Both Soundarya and Ashwin are maintaining privacy and aren’t slinging mud on each other. It is mutual consent to separate.

On the professional front, Soundarya Rajinikanth is directing her sister’s husband Dhanush for the sequel ‘Velai Illa Pattadhari 2’. This is her second directorial venture after the motion capture film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ starring Rajinikanth in the lead. The female director is yet to prove her prowess as a filmmaker.
