Finally a Blockbuster but for a Sidekick Role

The collections for ‘Dhoni’, a Bollywood biopic on the life story of popular cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been great with the highest opening for any sports film so far and creating record as the fourth highest opening in 2016.

So, who is excited besides the film’s main lead and makers? It’s actress Bhumika Chawla, who made a comeback to Bollywood movies after nine years. She played the character of Dhoni’s elder sister Jayanthi, who always supported him and stood by his side. The brother-sister duo share a great bond.

Finally, Bhumika scored a blockbuster, but that was a sidekick role. Nevertheless, the actress who had been absent on the Bollywood arena is now back after motherhood. She might be doing more movies. But, with this sidekick role, she might land up doing more such characters rather than prominent roles.
