First After Divorce: Samantha Turns Khatija

The Tamil film, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal is going to be Samantha‘s first release after divorce. The movie stars Nayanthara in the lead role and is directed by her beau, Vignesh Shivan. The makers have released the first look of Samantha from the film.

She plays Khatija in the movie. Releasing the poster, director Vignesh Shivan said, “Soo happy to be presenting the ever-gorgeous Samantha Prabhu as Khatija in our film – Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal”. Samantha could not hide her excitement either.

She tweeted the first look poster of her character and said, “Khatija! Can’t wait for you all to watch this one.” Earlier the movie was said to be going to Disney+ Hotstar for a direct OTT release but then, it will now arrive in theaters in December.

The actress looks gorgeous in the poster. In Telugu, the actress will be next seen in Gunasekhar’s Shakuntalam which has already completed its shooting. The release date of the movie is not confirmed yet since it involves extensive post-production and VFX works.
