First fans club for music maestro

Maestro Illayaraja’s eldest son Karthik Raja is doing something very few sons in the industry would do for their fathers. He is setting up a fans club, which will personally managed by him and also plans to release a weekly magazine called Isaignani, which will contain information about the composer’s currently projects and so on and so forth.

According to Karthik, the fans club is aimed to bringing over one crore Raja fans under one roof for a purpose. He said besides being a fans club like thousands of clubs in the country, they want to carry out social activities on behalf of the composer to help people in the society. He added that hundreds of singers will also be part of the club, which will be registered by the government.

The club will be launched on April 5 in a grand function in Madurai. Thousands of Raja’s fans are expected to attend the event.
