First Round – Spyder Upper Hand Over Jai Lava Kusa

The music of both the Dussera biggies, Jai Lava Kusa and Spyder are out. And we have to say it was easy picking up a winner among the two. The winner is Spyder and in the battle of routineness, Harris Jayaraj wins with his usual peppy numbers. Low volume of albums from Harris Jayaraj adds to the cause.

The first two singles from Spyder made fans fear the worst, but luckily for them, there were two peppy melodious numbers in typical Harris Jayaraj style in store for them. These two numbers sound good and have a joie de vivre about them. Of course, they too aren’t for the ages or memorable, but for a biggie like Spyder, after the initial disappointment, they are like an oasis in the middle of a desert.

Overall, both Jai Lava Kusa and Spyder comprises of predictable and routine numbers in the most typical sense of the respective music directors. But Harris Jayaraj wins it courtesy fresh packing. With the trailers of both the movies about to be out within days, let us see who wins the second round.
