It is learnt that Kannada film maker Indrajit Lankesh is interested to make a biopic on the life of Shakeela, who once had been box-office bonanza giving sleepless nights to even Malaylam superstars like Mammooty and Mohanlal. The film will be made in Hindi.

Bollywood actress Huma Quereshi might be roped in to play the title role. Shakeela’s life indeed has many twists and turns. She had written an autobiography and hence many details of her rise and fall will be readily available. The other biopics are yet to be released, but with ‘Shakeela’ in competition, audiences choices might definitely change.
