Fresh trouble brewing for Salman?

Recently, when a Bombay High Court acquitted Bollywood actor Salman Khan of all charges in his 2002 hit and run case where not only an individual was killed but four others were injured, all if India was shocked at the judgement.

Finally, the Maharashtra government has come to the fore to rectify the mistake in this regard and make sure justice is given to the victims. In this regard, the Maharastra Government has moved the Supreme Court on Friday in an effort to challenge the Bombay High Court’s judgement which had overturned the previous judgement by the trial court imposing a 5 year jail sentence on the actor.

In its verdict, the High Court had said that prosecution had failed to prove “beyond reasonable doubt” that the actor was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident and was drunk however, the Maharashtra government believes that High Court has made the error of not appreciating the prosecution evidence.
