GAV drops big after holidays

Today was the first day after the completion of holidays and the trade is looking at the figure with a deep silence. The numbers in morning shows have been very poor and the expected pick up in the afternoon and evening shows has not been visible. However the trade is still cautious and is not ruling out a pick up in the coming days when the theatres are reduced.

The midweek release of the film which proved to be beneficial earlier is becoming a problem now as the theatres can’t be reduced. They have to continue for two days and these two days with more theatres than requires in all areas will lead to reduced collections says the trade. A pick up is expected on the weekend and if that doesn’t come, the coming weekend could be end of the run of the film. Will the film drop further or stabilize we will know pretty soon.
