Girls Missing in Vakeel Saab Teaser?

‘Vakeel Saab‘ teaser came on the occasion of Sankranthi and surprised fans to see Pawan Kalyan looking good on the screen. All kudos to the director of photography and even the background music of the film isis good. However, criticism is pouring big time on the teaser.

What’s the reason? ‘Vakeel Saab’ is the official Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Pink’ that’s a women-centric movie shouting out loud about what ‘consent’ means. However, there are no girls in the teaser of the film that’s meant to take the issues girls face to the centre stage.

Those who watched the original are shocked to see no girls in the show. Needless to say, the makers have tweaked the narrative a bit to suit the regional sensibilities and also the star status of the hero with an enviable fan following.

On the other hand, fans are super happy to see Pawan Kalyan in a different role for a change and being a star vehicle, Pawan Kalyan’s show is quite natural for them. But, where are the women in a female-centric movie is the rightful question coming from people who have expectations on the movie by the virtue of the original.
