GodFather’s Crucial Monday Litmus Test

Megastar Chiranjeevi made a decent comeback after the huge disaster of Acharya with GodFather. Except for some cringe OTT parts in the second half, the film received a decent response from the critics and audience. Many appreciated that the film suits the age and image of Megastar.

The film opened to good collections but nowhere near the standards set by Megastar. But due to the festive season, the collections held up well and the film collected decent revenues by the end of its first weekend. But it’s still a long way to go for the film to reach breakeven.

So the Monday collections will give an idea of where the film is heading n the long run. The fans have connected with the film but the film can have a long run only if the normal audience laps it up. If the collections are steady on Monday without any major drop then GodFather has a chance of achieving HIT status.

The collections in the US were also steady during the weekend touching the $1 Million mark. But, the real test will begin from Monday until next Sunday to see where the film lands in the U.S. as one Million is not a big deal for big star films these days.
