Good News Brings An Immediate Bad News for RRR?

Bollywood Corporate Production Company, Pen Studio bagged the North India theatrical rights, electronic, satellite, and digital rights of RRR. We are told that they paid a whopping 500 Crore for this deal which almost recovers the film’s budget.

However, this Good News brings immediate bad news as well. Since huge money is riding on the film’s theatrical deal in the North, the makers are unlikely to hurry into the release in October. Theatrical Business in the North is not coming back anytime sooner due to the COVID second wave.

So unless something drastic happens from there, the situation will not become normal and there is a good possibility that the movie gets postponed to January 2022. If they still want to stick to the October 13th release date, the North rights have to be renegotiated which is unlikely.

There have been many speculations about the film’s postponement and this will add more pressure to the team.
