Good response for Fibre grid project in AP

Andhra Pradesh government had rolled out the ambitious Fiber grid project to extend broadband connectivity to all the mandals in the state. This project is worth 333 Crore and is likely to be handled by Infrastructure and Investment Department.

The existing poles and substations of APTRANSCO and APGENCO will be used for broadband connectivity as well to reduce the cost of the project. The aerial fibre connectivity could be implemented faster than the underground fibre network.

The Infrastructure Corporation of AP (INCAP) already issued tender notification which evoked good response. 4-5 bids were already shortlisted and they will be evaluated very soon. The state government is planning to complete the entire project before 2019 elections.
