Governor’s 10 months silence: Blame game on CBN

If you think Section 8 is suddenly brought to light following the Cash for Vote scam and Phone Tapping allegations, then you are mistaken. Giving aide to the allegation of AP TDP Leaders that the Governor is on Telangana’s side, it is now revealed that the Union Home Ministry had written a letter to the Governor and Telangana Government way back in August 2014 regarding Section 8.

The current views aired by the Attorney General are already informed to the Governor and Telangana government 10 months ago and it is clearly said that Governor is responsible to protect residents of common capital of Hyderabad i.e., GHMC area. Telangana government as expected remained tight-lipped over the Center’s proposal and Governor is sitting on the letter with out taking any action from the last 10 months.

Governor will have the power to recall any decision of Telangana cabinet and both the Commissioners of Police of Hyderabad and Cyberabad as well as the SP of Ranga Reddy have to report to the Governor in aiding him to regulate the law and order in Hyderabad. With the recent controversies, the need for imposing Section 8 just got bigger. This letter also refutes the rumours that Section 8 was brought to light on pressure from Chandrababu Naidu.
