Gulabo Sitabo brings together a combination of talented artists, both on and off-screen. The actors take care of the former, whereas the director, writer and other technical team belong to the latter. It is the perfect treat for the multiplex audience with a real and rooted heartland setting.
The legend Amitabh Bachchan easily slips into another character. As usual, it is the character we see rather than the star. Similarly, Ayushmann Khurrana continues his sensational form with unmatched confidence and infectious enthusiasm. Together they turn out to be the right foil for each other kind of like the Tom and Jerry pair.
The writing by Juhi Chaturvedi is in top form. The setting adds to the fun. The premise reminds one of the underrated Priyadarshan comedies Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar. It has a Malayalam original and is also remade in Tamil and Telugu, as well. However, with Shoojit Sircar at the helm of affairs, one can expect something unexpected.
