No one, even in their wildest dreams, can imagine what Guntur Kaaram is dealing with now. A film featuring Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas used to be one of the most exciting prospects, but now, that excitement has vanished long before the release.
There are several reasons for this—starting from script changes and casting issues to recent massive trolling on social media for a song.
The major concern is that the ongoing negativity won’t stop; there will be more scrutiny and trolls for Thaman’s remaining songs, especially his BGM in the film.
There is also concern about how Trivikram’s rhyming and writing will be received in this rapidly changing era of social media. That remains to be seen.
But for now, from a director’s point of view, all of this is unnecessary. Trivikram stepped into Mahesh’s project after the huge blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Now, he’s at a point where he just wants the film to release and be done with it, so he can move on to his next project.
This setback is significant for the director, especially when other top Telugu directors are eyeing markets beyond Telugu cinema. Trivikram has to deal with these issues.
The only silver lining is that the film is releasing during the best season of the year, Sankranthi, and that’s the only relief for now.
