Premieres for “Hanuman” are witnessing a huge craze in Telugu states, with bookings trending sensationally, especially for paid premieres. On BookMyShow almost 50,000 tickets have been sold in the past 24 hours which is a phenomenal figure for a medium-budget film starring a young hero. The worldwide premier show grossing Rs 2.5Cr reflects there is considerable excitement to watch the film.

Recently “Kantara” and “Karthikeya 2,” featuring unfamiliar faces for North audiences became huge blockbusters. The success of such films has heightened anticipation for Prasanth Varma’s “Hanu Man,” which focuses on Lord Hanuman, aiming to replicate the triumph of those two films by showcasing Hindu culture in great light.

But there is still calm in the Hindi belts as far as bookings are concerned as people there are waiting for the public talk coming from Telugu states. They don’t want to make the mistake of promoting a film without even seeing it like it happened with Adipurush.

If the public talk from Telugu states comes out positive and if the word spreads that Lord Hanuman has been showcased like the way Hanuman bhakts visualize him then it will take off in a big way with the North audience, especially in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. The Ram Mandir inauguration to be held in a few days will also add hype to the film if it turns out to be good.
