HanuMan has turned out to be a smash hit and became the Sankranthi winner by even defeating biggies like Guntur Kaaram. Many people are already contemplating and making speculations about the film’s OTT release.
One has to applaud the producers of Hanu Man for their guts and confidence in their project. They accurately gauged the movie’s potential and wisely sold the OTT rights, creating a substantial gap between its theatrical and OTT debut. For now, there’s no indication that HanuMan will be hitting OTT platforms anytime soon.
Another proof to support this theory is the release of HanuMan’s Hindi version across national multiplex chains on a pan-India scale. This implies a minimum 8-week gap between the theatrical and OTT release.
In the past, movies like Leo faced challenges in national multiplex releases due to makers hesitating to commit to an 8-week agreement with OTT partners, opting instead for lucrative four-week window deals.
As of now, HanuMan is going to be only for the big screens for another 6-7 weeks.
