HHVM Day 1: Decent Number, Thanks To Premiere!

After staying in the production phase for nearly 4 years, Hari Hara Veera Mallu finally saw daylight on July 24. The film had its paid premier is on July 23 night, which contributed largely to the revenues which will be added to day 1 tally.

The latest box office estimates are suggesting that the film could be opening in the vicinity of ₹65 crore which is a decent number on its own.

However, the crucial problem for the film is going to be to hold the momentum over the weekend, considering the rather weak word of mouth. The reviews have also been pretty dull.

Hadn’t it been for Pawan Kalyan’s aura, Veera Mallu could not have opened on such a note at the box office, considering the extreme delay in production.

But it must be primarily noted that star hero power will work only on day one and the rest of the performance will ultimately depend on the content, which is going to be the cause of concern here.

It has to be seen how this period action would hold its ground over the weekend now. There is also competition with Kingdom, which is going to release on July 31, and it will also actually eat into the revenues from next week.
