HBD Nagarjuna: Time for ‘King’ Size Comeback!

Despite being the star son of Akkineni Nageswara Rao, King Nagarjuna created a niche for himself and became one of the top four heroes of Tollywood who have been ruling the industry for more than three decades.

Nagarjuna’s illustrious legacy has etched an indelible mark on not only the previous generation but also this generation with films like Shiva, Geethanjali, Allari Alludu, Ninne Pelladatha, Annamayya, Manmadhudu, Mass, King, Manam, and Soggade Chinni Nayana.

These films have left an impact that continues to reverberate through time. He is also hailed for introducing maverick directors to the Telugu film industry.

However, his recent film choice of films, including Officer, Wild Dog, Manmadhudu 2, and Ghost, has invited severe criticism from not only critics but also his hardcore fans.

The main criticism he is facing is that he is not trying hard enough like the other senior stars of his stature. He is taking his audience and fans for granted with his laid-back attitude, lack of intention, and poor choice of scripts in these extremely competitive times.

He still has those handsome looks and a formidable fan following that can give any star a run for their money. He just needs to get back his art of smelling good scripts and directors who can utilize his potential to the fullest.

On the occasion of King Nagarjuna’s birthday, we extend warm wishes for his joy, good health, and continued success. May Nagarjuna’s cinematic journey continue to evolve and inspire generations to come by delivering many more cult classics like he used to do before.
