Healthy 100 Days For NTR?

Recent box office winner, Kalki made the most of the box office vacuum as it pulled the audience to theaters in big numbers. The hunger for the audience to watch big films on screen was clearly evident.

Now, the stage is set for the arrival of Jr NTR with Devara which is roughly 100 days from now. The film is locked in for theatrical debut on the 27th of September.

It must be said that a gap of 100 days is needed to build a healthy hunger for the audience to crave a big event film experience. After Kalki, Devara will be arriving with around 3 3-month gap and this must be about enough to do the same.

If we observe the trend in Bollywood, there was an overkill of big films toward the end of 2023. SRK himself, who delivered winners Jawan and Pathan, stuttered with Dunkey which is otherwise the most potent film in his line up. The audience had enough of big action by the time Dunkey released and this effect was seen.

Coming to Tollywood, Kalki is the only pan-Indian biggie to have released this year, and next in line is NTR’s Devara. Unlike Kalki which is a futuristic actioner, Devara appears to be more rooted and commercial which would excite the Telugu masses as well.

The onus is now on the team to lay the perfect platform though winning trailer and songs to create desired hype prior to release.
