Her Role Was Dropped in ‘NTR’

‘NTR‘ biopic will introduce the present generation to some yesteryear celebrated actors who cemented their position as the stalwarts of the industry. Director Krish wanted to show one of the most versatile actresses Suryakantham along with other acclaimed yesteryear actors in the biopic of the legendary NTR.

But, the makers couldn’t find an actress who would suit for playing Suryakantham’s role and therefore, director Krish has to drop the idea of featuring the actress’ role in ‘NTR’. It’s no wonder as Suryakantham was said to be the only actress in the Telugu Film Industry and no other actress can match her prowess in the kind of roles she used to portray. Coming to other actresses, Nithya will be seen portraying Savithri in a brief role.

Nithya said that she didn’t have much time to prepare for the role but she finds some similarities between herself and Savithri. She can relate herself to ‘Mahanati Savithri’ says Nithya who seems to be enjoying the present phase in her career. Nithya was one of those actresses who was considered for playing Savithri’s role in ‘Mahanati’. However, the role went to Keerthy Suresh.
