A year later, Ram bounced back with Ready. It was not only the biggest hit of his career but also one of the biggest hits of the year 2008. Once again the big success was followed by many failures. In the year 2011, he had Kandireega and it was followed by successive failures again.
The pattern should be clear by now. Ram has never had back to back successful films, in fact, a big success is followed by a disastrous movie. This lack of consistency is always pulling him behind as far as star rankings are considered. With the emergence of a new face like Sai Dharam Tej and growth of Nani as a star and perennial threat of Naga Chaitanya, Ram never is able to make a solid impact.
Unlike few of his competitors, Ram has what it takes to be a universal star in the second league heroes. He can cater to the masses locally as well as classes in overseas. This is not that easily achievable but he is lucky to have it. Unfortunately, he is not making proper use of it to raise his stakes. Hyper is critical in the sense that a success here could give him the elusive back to back hits. With an Anil Ravipudi film as follow up he is looking at a potential hat-trick too. A failure puts all these bets off. Will Ram be able to break the trend with Hyper?
