Heroines’ Code: Ready for ‘Adjustment’?

Just when we thought the ‘casting couch’ issue had subsided in the industry, another actress has now come forward to share her experience on the much-discussed bad practice in the industry. That beauty is Regina Cassandra.

Regina said that she has also faced the experience of the casting couch in her life. She recalls that in the early days of her career when she approached some people for opportunities, a person called her and told her they were ready to start shooting with her right away if she was ready for ‘adjustment.’

Regina, who was just 20 years old at the time, said that she did not understand the meaning of adjustment. She thought the person was talking about her remuneration, and she was ready for such a remuneration-related adjustment. Later she came to know the truth from her manager.

Regina also said that she did not face such an experience once again in her career. Some actresses have to face such incidents. But some actresses use this issue to hit some headlines and remain in the news, at least for a short period of time.
