Court clears hurdles for ‘Hero’

Hyderabad high court had vacated the stay on the construction of the proposed Hero Motocorp Plant in Madannapalem near Sri City SEZ in Chittoor district. This will enable Hero Motocorp to to erect a wall around the 600 acres it was allotted by the state and then the construction will follow.

It is known that earlier the high court had stayed the constructions in the land as a person Kishanlal of M/s Aishwarya Orchids and Plantations claimed the ownership of 600 acres allotted to Hero Motors by the AP government.

The judge allowed the construction and clarified that if in future, M/S Aishwarya Orchids and Plantations won the case, the court will ensure that they get compensation from the government according to the land acquisition act. The plant coming up at this SEZ will have an annual capacity of 1.8-2 million units and the company is planning to invest 1600 Crore for the plant.
