High Price For Vishal’s Action

Actor Vishal is gearing up for a high octane action thriller next. It is aptly titled as Action. The theatrical trailer has met with a fabulous response. No wonder, the distribution rights of the movie have been snapped up early and at a high price.

Adepu Srinivas has grabbed the rights of Vishal’s forthcoming Action for Telugu states. It is taken for a whopping 8 Cr. It is huge because no Telugu dubbed flick in recent times has got that number. Only Whistle has passed this number with Karthi’s Khaidi close on the heels.

In a way, it also makes clear why such a huge price was paid. Whistle and Khaidi are very recent movies. Action is the next one in the line. If the film manages to generate similar interest and is well-liked, the chances of breakeven are high. Remember, there will be no Telugu biggies around until the Christmas season arrives.

Vishal’s last genuine success in the Telugu film industry was Abhimanyudu. It did very well in the summer of 2018 collecting over 9 Cr. He would be hoping to repeat the feat with Action. Sunder C helms the project which has Tamannah in the female lead opposite Vishal. Action is expected to hit screens on November 15th.
