On its first Monday, Adipurush collected around Rs 7 crore and this tally slipped further on Tuesday as it collected a mere Rs 5 crore nett.
The film has slipped on the weekdays, and the trench is much bigger than initially expected. There are reports that the film is not getting screened in certain North Indian belts where Hindutva is at its peak, as there are comments that the film is a misrepresentation of Ramayan.
The blockbuster Rs 100 crore opening weekend brings some value to the overall tally of the film in the Hindi belt – Rs 117 crore. A lot depends on how it holds over the second weekend.
